Annette Berning

Annette [ƏnetƏ]. Yes, you say the E at the end. Born and raised in a trilingual and culture-obsessed household in Bergen, Norway, but I call New York City home now.

 

My journey in performing started at the age of three when I was given my first violin. But when my mother realized she didn't know what to do with a child who had an abundance of energy, she had no choice but to enroll me in ballet, which paved the way to singing and acting. My spirited sense of being has to this day not faded, and I bring it with me to every performance, rehearsal and audition.
